Since announcing on January 11 that former member Bongani “Morda” Mohosana (formerly known as Murdah Bongz) has been ordered by the court to replace the studio equipment owned by the music group, Black Motion has set tongues wagging.

A member of the group’s inner circle described the Mohigan Sun hitmaker as “pompous” and “arrogant,” disclosing to Drum Magazine that the DJ began evading his Black Motion responsibilities in late 2021.

Additionally, fans back Zinhle despite the verdicts against Morda and Black Motion.

According to the insider, Morda began bragging to his former groupmate Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane that he is more popular on social media than him. Apparently, he would boast about the number of likes he received.

“The team from Spirit Motion sat down with him to gain an understanding of his motivations. This is when he began to convince them that he had more social media followers and that he is popular regardless of Black Motion,” a source stated.

Spirit Motion, the group’s record company, issued a statement last year refuting rumors that the duo had split up.

“When the statement that they were still dating was released, they were attempting to be honest with him, but they realized that he would not compromise.

“If you’re aware, the Black Motion brand is founded on humility, and he was too large for them. So they allowed him to remain, but reassured him that Black Motion will continue because they already had projects lined up,” stated the source.

As the newest member of Black Motion, Kabelo “Problem Child” Koma has joined Thabo Smol.

According to court documents, Morda disappeared about November 2021 and has been recording and performing as a solo artist since then.

In February 2022, he allegedly stole equipment from the studio. However, because it was not essential equipment, it was replaced with a temporary solution.

Additionally, charges of burglary and theft have been filed against Murdah Bongz.

Morda was accused by his former record label boss, Moses Nkia Mokgoko, of breaking into the Centurion mansion on 15 December 2022, according to a source who spoke to the Sunday World in December 2022. The residence also contains a studio.

According to the source, Morda stole studio monitors, a television, computer hard drives, and a mixing desk from the Black Motion’s office and studio.

Colonel Noxolo Kweza, a spokesman for the Gauteng SAPS, confirmed to The South African in the same month that a case of theft and housebreaking had been initiated against Morda.

Explaining the court order released by Black Motion on social media on Wednesday, an insider informed Drum that it was filed urgently at the Johannesburg high court because Morda was allegedly making fun of the case on social media.
