Bishops pupils achieves 100% pass rate in 2022 Matric results

On Friday, Tony Reeler, principal of Diocesan College, sent his congratulations to the matric class of 2022 for their “exceptional results” on the exams taken in 2022.

147 Bishops students took the National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations, with a passing percentage of 100% and a bachelor’s pass rate of 96.6%.

Notable figures included 553 subject distinctions earned at a rate of 3.76 per student on average.

There were 70 ‘A’ aggregates (48% of the class), and 12 students achieved an aggregate of 90% or above.

Rob Kotze had the highest overall grade with 96.2%, followed by Erik Todd with 93.5% and Michael Beaumont with 92.2%.

Rob Kotze and Jonty Couves earned nine honours each.

Michael Beaumont, Sebastian Boeddinghaus, Conrad Green, Louie Hart, Suhayl Khalfey, Sebastian Le Grange, Adam Lieberman, Michael Naude, Sebastiano Panieri, Rishay Thakersee, and Eric Todd all earned eight honours.

In addition, 17 boys earned seven distinctions, 21 boys earned six distinctions, and 13 boys earned five distinctions.

In addition, Dieter Karlein earned a perfect score in mathematics.

“We are extremely proud of these results and congratulate every boy on his achievement. We also thank all their teachers whose guidance and motivation made such a big difference. Finally, our thanks to parents, family members and the Bishops community who supported our boys. You can be very proud of them!” Reeler wrote.
