President Biden stated on Thursday’s episode of 60 Minutes that he intends to run for reelection in 2024, but that the decision is still up in the air.
“Sir, are you committed to running again, or do specific circumstances need to be met?” Pelley asked.
Mr. Biden stated, “Look, if I were to announce that I’m running again, a variety of factors would come into play, including obligations that I must modify, relocate, and fulfill.” “Regarding election laws. And within the timeframe that makes logical after this next election cycle, moving into the following year, make a decision on what to do.”

President Biden stated that he hopes to maintain control of the House and Senate in November’s midterm elections. However, less than half of the country approves of his performance. Biden was questioned by Pelley why he believes his numbers are so low considering his recent legislative successes.
“This is a really challenging period. We are at a turning point in the history of this nation “Mr. Biden stated. “We’re going to make decisions, and we’re making ones right now, that will decide what we look like in ten years. I believe you would agree that the pandemic has had a tremendous effect on the psychology of the American people. Consider how this has altered everything. The attitudes of individuals regarding themselves, their family, the state of the nation, and the condition of their communities. Consequently, there is a substantial amount of ambiguity in the world. And we lost one million individuals. A million individuals to COVID. When I was elected to power, barely 2 million people had been vaccinated. I obtained 220 million, but my point is that it takes time. We were placed in a really precarious position. It has been a very trying period. Extremely challenging.”
President Biden is the oldest chief executive in the nation’s history. In light of this, Pelley inquired about his suitability for the position.
