In a 90-second video provided to social media by @Nathan VBB, a Washington, D.C.-based Twitter user who supports Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke, Cruz can be seen lifting his suitcase from the overhead compartment just as the man initiates conversation.

The Securing Our Schools Act of 2022 would have allocated billions of dollars to police officers and mental health counselors in schools, but on Thursday, Senate Democrats stopped the bill.

Cruz then hesitates before responding that he does, without naming any in particular, and bringing up the School Safety measure once more.
“But you have no idea. You have no interest in the facts. It is acceptable that you are a partisan,’ Cruz says, turning around.
Before the clip ends, the passenger says, “Are you not a partisan?”
The caption for the video stated, “Senator Cruz was on my aircraft, and I asked him to name any Uvalde victims. He was unable.’

Cruz was criticized after meeting with Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Rubio’s parents, Kimberly and Felix Rubio, on Thursday. Kimberly and Felix Rubio are the parents of Robb Elementary shooting victim Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Rubio. They requested that Cruz introduce gun restrictions, but he declined.
A parent who lost a child in the school massacre expressed their displeasure with Cruz via Twitter.
Kimberly Mata-Rubio, whose daughter Lexi was murdered in the massacre, and her husband Felix Rubio presented Cruz with a photograph of Lexi “in her child-sized casket” while requesting a nationwide ban on semiautomatic weapons.
