Benni McCarthy Could coach Chelsea, Returns to English Premier League!

Benni McCarthy has finally made a massive decision on his coaching career – he is heading to the English Premier League and could even coach Chelsea!

Sorry Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates supporters, it appears our Bafana Bafana legend will not be staying in the PSL or even South Africa!

McCarthy is no stranger to the English Premier League, he previously played for Blackburn Rovers and now he is returning to England. This opens up a world of possibilities for the former Usuthu coach.

Imagine McCarthy taking charge of EPL giants Chelsea or leading Everton against Liverpool?

These are all very real possibilities. McCarthy would become the first South African coach to coach in the arguably the world’s biggest club tournament.

McCarthy will be having meetings in London with English-side Brentford FC.

Well he is in London he could attempt to network amongst clubs like Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham and Tottenham.

“Obviously I wanna take the time while I’m this side of the world because the access it’s much easier for me, when you are here travelling down to England visiting clubs and stuff like that you know, so I’ve spoken with people at Brentford FC,”

“I just need to confirm a day cause obviously they’ve got Man U Monday night football they paly Man u so I’ll probably be looking at Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday’s week you know I will go down to West London to go and visit at Brentford and obviously have a lunch with a head coach Thomas Frank.”, McCarthy stated on SABC Sport.

McCarthy is making massive moves by travelling abroad.

He also holds an official UEFA Pro license meaning he is illegible to coach any side in England and Europe.

McCarthy is a fantastic coach and a true South African legend, He has featured n the UEFA Champions League, playing for Porto – he even won the tournament under Jose Mourinho in 2004.
