Bare-chested bandit attacks five police officers during hotel rampage

This is the terrifying moment a bodycam captured a bare-chested bandit going insane and attacking five officers.

Saturday about 1am, police were summoned to a hotel in the city center of Nottingham after a woman was assaulted.

When police sought to arrest 39-year-old Daniel Johnson, he got combative and confronted them.

When Johnson started a frantic assault in the hotel corridor, officers were punched, kicked, and thrown to the ground.

The incident resulted in no injuries, and Johnson was eventually detained.

Johnson, from Camden, London, admitted to five assaults by beating of emergency personnel, a racially-aggravated common assault by beating, an attack by beating of a hotel employee, and criminal damage.

On Monday, he was sentenced to one year in prison by the Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.

Detective Sergeant Lisa Jones of the Nottinghamshire Police stated, “This case exemplifies the frequency with which our officers must deal with aggressive behavior.”

“I am delighted Johnson was immediately punished and sentenced to prison for his completely inappropriate behavior.

We will not allow violence against women or attacks on law enforcement officers who are merely tasked with protecting the public.

We do not anticipate that our officers or other emergency personnel would be assaulted while performing their duties.

“The force will take swift action against anyone accused of attacking a first responder.”

“Johnson was sentenced within two days of the event, and I hope this sends a clear message that violent offenders will be brought to court swiftly and firmly.”

Thankfully, only minor injuries were sustained by the officers, although they were naturally highly frightened by the occurrence.
