Williams stated that Wang and Ellison were cooperating with New York officials in their case against the FTX founder after submitting their pleas.

Williams stated the pleas and the transfer of Bankman-Fried to New York were related to a’sweeping fraud scheme that contributed to FTX’s failure and for a campaign funding scam that tried to influence Washington’s public policy.

He went on to explain that the federal court’s investigation into the alleged fraudulent activities carried out by Bankman-enterprises Fried’s is ongoing, and that today’s allegations – revealed in a pair of concurrent SEC lawsuits against the two executives – are not the final.
