Which zodiac sign is the most unbalanced, unpredictable, quick-tempered, and electrically charged?

I struggled with writing this unholy trio, and as a Taurus, my struggle took the form of eating peanut butter with a fork, purchasing a second-hand sweater I don’t need from the internet, and contending with the fact that my bull brethren are an unstable herd.

It is tempting to let water do the heavy lifting and identify Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces as the zodiac’s most unstable signs, as they tend to lead with the most unstable element of all, human emotion. Yet, water signs are permanently unmoored, and although their moods fluctuate like the weather, they are good at pulling energy and inspiration from these changes.

The first three zodiac signs, Aries, Taurus, and Gemini, symbolize our infancy, our possessive toddler inclinations, and our reactive, unfiltered, manic kid self, when viewed as a continuum from birth to death.

In light of this, I present a list of the zodiac signs most likely to lose their heads. Continue reading while remaining calm.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19) (March 21 – April 19)

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and they enter the world with a gasoline afterbirth and Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades” as their hellish lullaby. Ruled by the warrior planet Mars, the patron of getting it on, getting it done, and having their way, Aries is the most impetuous, impatient, and easily angered sign. Similar to infants, Aries have poor impulse control, high decibel requirements, and are liable to ruin a night out by having a tantrum about lukewarm tit milk and lousy service.

On the increase, their ferocity is untenable, so while fires may occasionally erupt, they rarely persist. In addition, the unpredictability of the average Aries may be quite motivating. My ram friend frequently reminds me that “your anger loves you and wants you to be happy.” In this way, Aries always addresses what needs must be satisfied and what actions must be taken.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20) (April 20 – May 20)

As a typically stable and even unshakable sign, Taurus may appear to be an improbable choice for instability. Nevertheless, underneath the facade of control lies a grave fear that all will come apart. As a fixed earth sign, Taurus has difficulty adapting to change, preferring the discomfort of the familiar to the wild winds of transformation. Taurus rules the second house of values and things, creature comforts, and excess guacamole, so when their financial stability or personal opulence is threatened, they lose their sh–.

Bulls are known for taking on too much responsibility and refusing to ever ask for or accept assistance, a recipe for disaster. The immovable aspect of the sign suggests an affinity for immovable ideals and perilous ideologies. Not without cause have some of the most unstable, irrational, and blatantly authoritarian figures in global history been born under the sign of Taurus, including but not limited to Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Lenin, Saddam Hussein, Jim ‘drink the Kool-Aid’ Jones, and Oliver Cromwell.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20) (May 21 – June 20)

Gemini, rather than resisting instability, writhes and rides it like the manic-depressive, neck-tattooed car thief that it is.

Mercury, the planet with the most erratic orbit in our modest solar system, rules Gemini. In terms of archetype, Mercury is named after Hermes, the Greek deity of communication. Hermes was a coyote trickster with winged heels who communicated in riddles, poetry, and incendiary gossip.

Gemini’s thinking is equally wide, adaptable, and extreme. Reality is elastic and time is a flat circle for the Gemini, who constantly consumes, distills, and reframes/falsifies data. Gemini, rather than resisting instability, writhes and rides it like the manic-depressive, neck-tattooed car thief that it is. Carole “may or may not have fed my husband to tigers” Baskin, Kanye West, Donald Trump, and Scott Disick are examples of Geminis having a questionable connection with the truth.
