Arbonics Secures $5.3M in Funding to Revolutionize Forestry with Climate Tech

In a recent funding round led by NordicNinja, Plural, and Tilia Impact Ventures, Arbonics has raised an additional $5.3 million, bringing its total funding to $7.3 million.

The funds will play a crucial role in the company’s strategic initiatives, including the expansion of its product portfolio, team growth, and the ambitious plan to cover 50% of European forests in the coming year.

Innovating Climate Tech for Forestry

Founded in 2022 by CEO Kristjan Lepik and COO Lisett Luik, Arbonics stands at the intersection of forestry and technology, leveraging climate tech to combat climate change.

The startup’s platform is a sophisticated amalgamation of over 30 layers of data, ranging from on-the-ground sensors and soil readings to satellite imagery.

This comprehensive dataset, combined with in-house ecology and forestry expertise, empowers Arbonics to remotely and accurately calculate the carbon removal potential of land across European countries.

Holistic Approach to Forestry Lifecycle

Arbonics has set its sights on transforming the forestry landscape by covering the entire lifecycle. The funds secured in this round will be instrumental in further developing the company’s product portfolio.

The platform’s capabilities extend beyond basic assessments; it can swiftly determine the specific trees required to maximize a land’s potential and provide instant insights into their carbon impact.

Rapid Growth and Impact

Since its launch in late 2022, Arbonics has made significant strides, collaborating with 4,000 landowners and facilitating the planting of over 4 million trees across various European markets.

The startup’s solution has gained traction among multinational organizations seeking innovative and sustainable approaches to forestry management.

Strategic Expansion Plans

Arbonics is poised for substantial growth, with plans to utilize the newly acquired funds to expand its team and extend its coverage to encompass 50% of European forests in the upcoming year.

This strategic expansion aligns with the company’s commitment to leveraging technology for the greater environmental good and contributing to the global fight against climate change.
