April Maey Releases New Single: “Airplane Mode”

Following the success of her feel-good summer single “Sweatshirt” and her most recent release, “Far Away” (September 16, 2022), R&B vocalist April Maey ends the year with “Airplane Mode,” a 5-track EP that is a kaleidoscope of changing emotions.

The EP blends smooth rhythms with delicate vocals to create a soundtrack that expresses both the separation and the exhilaration of leaving everything behind. It portrays a loss of social connection via R&B and Hip-Hop, as well as the lift that comes with a new start.

According to April Maey, “Airplane Mode is a lyrical poem about feeling lost in your own world, and the journey to discovering oneself”.

Each track depicts the path of discovering oneself: it’s about being lost in one’s own world and discovering something new. Airplane Mode portrays an image of feeling distant from the world but yet seeking to make meaningful relationships within it via melancholy soundscapes topped with passionate yearning vocals and realistic lyricism.
