Application for Admission to the Pre-Degree Program at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT)

The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) invites properly eligible applicants to submit applications for admission to any of the following one-year Pre-degree Programmes in the Faculties of Humanities and Education for the 2022/2023 academic session.

The programme is open to applicants with a minimum of five (5) Credits in English Language and other related topics in not more than two sittings [in GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB & TC II (TC II is applicable for applications to the Faculty of Education)].

DURATION OF COURSE: The Program lasts for one year (one academic session).

Candidates must hold a WASSC/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level diploma with credit passes in five relevant courses. See the list of topics below for more information.

How to Apply for Pre-Degree Admission to UNIPORT

The application is available online. Follow the instructions at www.uniportsbs.org; a fee of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00), excluding Bank charges, is required. Payment can be made at designated banks across the country. The names on the O’ Level Certificates of candidates must match what is entered online. Any fraudulent information provided disqualifies the candidate immediately. All applicants must have personal and functional phone numbers and email accounts in order to receive further information from the School, and they must routinely visit the School’s website.

Registration: Successful candidates’ registration will be announced in due time.

NOTE:

In addition to the requisite 5 O-Level Credits, the candidate must possess an additional 3 in order to be admitted to the Degree Programme.

PASS THE REQUIRED PRE-DEGREE EXAMS, HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) SUBJECT COMBINATION, AND HAVE THE NATIONAL MINIMUM SCORE ON THE 2023/2024 UTME, AND HAVE CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT.
