APC Pledges to Harmonise Work of Past Governors in Cross River

All Progressive Congress, APC, Governorship aspirant in Cross River State, Southern Nigeria, Mr. John Owan Enoh has pledged to harmonise the agenda of the past three governments of the state.

Mr. Enoh speaking to members of the Cross River State Journalist Forum, in Abuja, Nigeria, says that he will bring together Donald Duke’s tourism initiative, Liyel Imoke’s urban development and Ben Ayade’s industrialisation under his administration if elected.

“When you look at my declaration statement I said let us align our developmental goals and objectives with the three successes of the other administrations,” he said.

The former Senator said that he was the best candidate to lead Cross River state as the next governor in 2023 election and was optimistic due to his past experiences as a candidate in the 2015 governorship election and as a past serving senator and house of Reps member.

“There are lots and lots and lots that I think that we need to do as a people to provide leadership. If I couldn’t do this job I won’t come back again and say I want to run. I have a passion to do this job. I have a passion for leadership, I have the passion to gain, I’m the most accessible politician in Cross River politics. On a daily basis I am interacting with Cross Riverians from Bakassi to Obanliku to Yala through text messages which I don’t ignore.

”I will provide the kind of transparent and accountable leadership that our people need and require,” he said.

Responding to questions from journalists, the former Senator noted that he would work to grow revenues in the State to offset the high debt burden that is slowing the growth of the state in Nigeria.
“If you look at my manifesto, there are a lot of initiatives to grown revenue and I can mention, when you start a tech hob it means that youre looking at the present and the future and what can it be. When you grow house hold income deliberately by setting up let’s say different programs.

Hospitality programs to train and to grow and export those that you’ve trained. For too long Cross River is seen as a tourist state, but we are also not deliberately producing the personnel that makes us competitive. So we get into that and begin to explore to take care of the customer need in the hospitality industry, “he stated.

Mr. Owan Enoh said that he would work to address the issues of regaining the Cross River’s oil wells and lands that were ceded to Akwa Ibom State and Cameroon.

He called on the members of the Cross River State Journalist Forum to take an interest in the emergence of APC leadership in Cross River State.
