An formal investigation into Scott Morrison’s scandalous covert jobs has been started by Anthony Albanese.
Virginia Bell, a former High Court judge, will undertake the investigation and provide a report by November 25.
Without informing the public or the Cabinet, Mr. Morrison surreptitiously took the oath of office as minister of health, finance, resources, home affairs, and treasurer in 2020 and 2021.
Although Mr. Morrison’s actions were entirely lawful, the solicitor general advised Mr. Albanese that they “undermined” the idea of responsible governance.
Mr. Albanese tried to dispel any claims that his investigation is politically motivated earlier this week.
He said on Tuesday that the investigation “has to be not a political probe but an inquiry with an eminent person with a legal background to assess all the ramifications.”
However, Coalition lawmakers think the prime minister is pursuing the matter for personal advantage.

‘I find it troubling that Anthony Albanese is fascinated with Scott Morrison.
“He has to get on with running the country, quit staring in the rearview mirror, and focus on his obligations, like cutting electricity costs by $275 annually.”
Mr. Albanese promised to ensure that all upcoming ministry appointments must be made public.
But even after closing the gap, he still wants further research.
He said on Tuesday that it was imperative to guarantee complete trust in our democratic system moving ahead.
Comparisons have been made to Tony Abbott’s calling of two royal commissions into the last Labor administration.
One looked into Kevin Rudd’s 2009 Home Insulation Program, which resulted in the deaths of four tradies, while the other looked into union corruption and included interrogating Bruce Wilson, Julia Gillard’s ex-boyfriend from 1990.
