AMAZULU STAR ETHAN BROOKS CONFIRMS KAIZER CHIEFS WANTED TO SIGN HIM

Ethan Brooks, a midfielder for the Bafana Bafana, has admitted that he was linked with Kaizer Chiefs before signing with AmaZulu.

The star acknowledged Amakhosi’s keen interest in him in an interview with FarPost, saying they went so far as to make an official proposal.

Because so many organisations wanted to sign him, according to Brooks, deciding which team to join was never simple.

He is content with his choice to join AmaZulu, though, and claims that the club’s rich history was the reason he went with them instead of Chiefs.

Brooks verified Amakhosi’s interest in him and his formal contact, but he was hesitant to talk about what actually transpired during the conversations with them.

Brooks told FARPost:

“It is never an easy choice for anyone. As you said, you read (the rumours). So, I am sure you know who the other teams were after my signature, but it’s never an easy choice, you know. But it’s only right to think about it, and I am happy that I made the decision (to join AmaZulu).

“Yes, they (Chiefs) were (interested). Yes, there was (a formal approach), and yeah, I don’t want to talk too much about it”.
