Longtime DJ for Ellen DeGeneres Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss apparently had no quarrel with his wife prior to his suicide on Monday, she reportedly informed authorities.
Allison Holker, Boss’s wife of nine years, contacted Los Angeles police on Tuesday to report him missing, stating that he had departed without a word the previous day and was not responding her calls, according to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources.
Holker stated that there had been no fight or quarrel before his departure, which occurred just three days after the couple’s wedding anniversary, and described his lack of contact as completely out of character.
Police accompanied Holker back to the family home for a brief search for any evidence regarding his absence; however, shortly thereafter, a 911 call came in from a nearby motel, where a housekeeper discovered Boss shot to death.
She reportedly informed authorities that she and Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss had no quarrel before he left their home unannounced and killed himself on Monday. Just three days before the tragedy, the couple celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
Tuesday in Los Angeles, DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at age 40.
Just days before his death, Boss, 40, had celebrated his ninth wedding anniversary with Holker, 34.
The couple had three children together: Zaia, 3, Maddox Laurel, 6, and Weslie Renae, 14, who was born to Alison’s previous partner but adopted by Stephen.
In a November interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the pair sounded joyful and optimistic about the future, even discussing their desire to have another child.
“I adore the infants, I adore them. It is a constant dialogue,’ stated the boss.
Allison said to Hudson, “I believe we would love to begin trying for another child!”
She eulogized him in a moving speech on Wednesday, announcing that she would “reserve the last dance” for him, before greeting grieving family members to their Encino home.
Boss checked into room 249 at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino at approximately 10.30 a.m. on Monday and was discovered dead in the room’s bathroom the following day after failing to check out.
Rakesh, the hotel’s manager, stated, “He entered his room and never left.”
Allison, his wife of 34 years, and their three children, Weslie, 14, Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3, survive Boss.
Tuesday at 11:15 a.m., the maid opened the door to inspect the room. There was his property inside, but no one else. She investigated the restroom and discovered blood everywhere.
She was terrified. This is the first time something like has occurred in this location.
“We dialed 911 and were instructed to check his pulse, but there was none.” The police and paramedics arrived and reported that guy was deceased.
Rakesh, who that just his first name be used, stated that neither guests nor employees heard the gunfire.
Perhaps he did it on Monday during the day. It’s possible that nobody heard it due to the busy, noisy road outside,’ he said.
Monday at 9:20 a.m., the boss called ahead to inquire about available rooms, then walked the few blocks from his home. Rakesh reported that he appeared “totally normal” and “calm.”
Rakesh stated, “When we knocked on the door, there was no reaction.” The maid opened the door to find his belongings still in the room.
Another staff member corroborated that Boss shot himself in the head, and the manager added that it occurred in the bathroom.
According to reports, he checked into the motel under his own name on Monday and was not discovered until Tuesday morning.

After the shooting, a manager informed DailyMail.com that the restroom was “soaked in blood.”
Jennifer Lopez, Questlove, and Michelle Obama were among the celebrities who paid tribute to Boss, a beloved dancer and DJ, after his death at age 40.
He was most known for his long tenure as the DJ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show; DeGeneres herself described him as “pure love and light” and said she will miss him “with all my heart.”
Lopez stated on her Instagram account, “Twitch was such a bright and beautiful person. Disbelief and profound sadness.
My heart aches for Sir Twitch and his family. Sending you strength and love.
In his online tribute, Justin Timberlake reflected that “you never know what someone is truly going through.”
He added, “It is devastating to learn that someone who brought so much joy to a room was suffering so much behind closed doors.”
I’ve known Twitch for more than two decades through the dance community; he has always brightened up the room. You can never know what someone is truly experiencing.
Take care of yourselves, he added. LOVE the individual in the mirror. Examine your personnel.
“Sending light to his beautiful family during this time of darkness and confusion.” Sir, you will be missed. Be at Peace.’
