Alleged fugitive wanted on rape charges in America had his bail appeal refused

An accused runaway who claimed to be getting inadequate oxygen levels while being held in a Scottish prison was denied bail. He was sought on rape accusations in America.

Prosecutors think the man, who claims to be Arthur Knight, is Nicholas Rossi, a rape suspect in the US.

At Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, he is accused of acting aggressively toward a physician and senior charge nurse (QEUH).

He informed Sheriff Mark O’Hanlon at a hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday that he “was not and had never been known” as Nicholas Rossi.

Alleged fugitive Arthur Knight (pictured) is said to have faked his own death to dodge US sex charges. US prosecutors claim the man is Nicholas Rossi, who allegedly raped a 21-year-old in Utah in 2008He requested the sheriff’s intervention at the diet on Tuesday while speaking for himself since the prison personnel kept calling him Rossi.

The accused further informed Sheriff O’Hanlon that the “inability of healthcare to be enabled on a continual basis” was the reason why bail was “appropriately” required.

And he said that it was “nonsensical” and “unrealistic” to refuse his plea for bail out of concern that he might flee the courtroom during the trial.

“My wife, Miranda, is my full-time caregiver because I was in a coma from September 10 to early December, leaving me unable to move and dependent on oxygen round-the-clock,” he stated.

.

‘I do not have any desire to abscond. The idea that I would abscond is nonsensical because I can’t walk or stand and we will prove that at trial.’

Rossi (pictured) is accused of faking his death from cancer in the US to avoid a sexual assault charge, before fleeing to ScotlandSheriff O’Hanlon, however, rebuked him, saying: “Nothing you have stated in any way has convinced me that bail is necessary.”

Until his August 9 trial, the accused has now been detained in detention.

According to the charging sheet, the defendant also goes by the aliases Nicholas Rossi, Nicholas Alahverdian, Nicholas Brown, Arthur Winston Brown, and Arthur Knight Brown.

Rossi, who is sought for the rape of a 21-year-old woman in Utah in September 2008, is alleged to have pretended to die and fled to Scotland in order to avoid being arrested.
