The House of Representatives has once again postponed its resumption date from May 16 to May 23.
The decision was announced by the Clerk of the House, Yahaya Danzaria, who stated that the delay would allow returning members-elect to participate in the second batch of induction.
Reason for the Shift:
According to the statement released on Monday, the purpose of rescheduling was to ensure that members in the second batch could fully partake in the induction program for the 10th National Assembly.
The National Assembly Management, in collaboration with the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), is organizing the induction, in which approximately 235 lawmakers are expected to participate.

Amidst allegations that Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila forged the standing rule to favor Tajudeen Abass, the House of Representatives adjourned plenary until the following Tuesday.
