 COMMUNICATION FROM THE PRESIDENT 

Submission of the 2023-2025 Midterm Expenditure Framework and FSP to the House of Representatives for due consideration. He seeks the usual cooperation of the National Assembly on its speedy consideration.

The Speaker of the House, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila clarified that the ruling of the House on the Bill for an Act to Repeal the Oaths Act, Cap. O1, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and Enact the Oaths Bill to take cognizance of Technological Advancements and make Provisions for Digital and Electronic means of Administering Oaths and Affirmations in Nigeria; and for Related Matters (HB.2018) sponsored by Rep. Ifeanyi Chudy Momah and Rep. Ugonna Ozurigbo for Second Reading that was debated on Tuesday, September 20th is a stand-alone ruling and the House is still looking at the legality of such rulings going forward.

MATTER OF URGENT PUBLIC IMPORTANCE 

1.Hassan Rurum moved a motion on the need to investigate the gruesome murder of a Nigerian lady by a Chinese resident in a community of his constituency in Kano The motion was voted on and adopted as amended.

2.A Bill for an Act to Provide for Establishment of Federal Medical Centres; and for Related Matters (HB. 182) – Third Reading. The Bill was voted on and read for the third time.

3.A Bill for an Act to Provide for Establishment of Nigerian Safety Investigative Bureau for the Regulation, Prevention and Providing Effective Administration for Safety Investigation in Nigeria; and for Related Matters (HB. 465) – Third Reading. The Bill was voted on and read for the third time.

4.A Bill for an Act to Repeal the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Act, Cap. F5, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and Enact the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Bill to Provide for the Effective Management of Airports in Nigeria; and for Related Matters (HB. 461) – Third Reading.The Bill was voted on and read for the third time.

5.A Bill for an Act to Repeal the National Secondary Education Commission Act, Cap.
