Swiss international and Aston Villa forward, Alisha Lehmann, has been commended by Aine Coutinho, wife of Philippe Coutinho, following her recent split from Villa teammate Douglas Luiz.

Lehmann, who has built up a significant social media following since joining the Women’s Super League in 2018, posted four photos from her recent time with the Swiss national team, which drew praise from Aine Coutinho, who called Lehmann a “beautiful woman”.

Lehmann has been capped 37 times for Switzerland and has made 48 appearances for Aston Villa, scoring eight goals, four of which have come this season under the management of Carla Ward.

Off the field, Lehmann recently split from Douglas Luiz after nearly a year of dating, having met following her transfer to Villa Park in the summer of 2021.

While the couple had previously posted pictures of themselves on social media, they deleted them when they went their separate ways.
