In July, a lady was captured on camera pepper-spraying a rideshare driver after asking him to let her and her pals out of the van.
According to New York City police, the incident occurred after the driver informed the women that the car was overcrowded and they needed another transport.

However, surveillance footage reveals that the 23-year-old driver continued to race through the area as the women pleaded with him to pull over and let them out.

During the apparent disagreement, one of the passengers could be seen on film pepper spraying the driver at least twice.
After he dropped them off in the Bronx at 5 a.m. on July 8, according to police, they beat him and grabbed his phone.

In July, a lady was captured on camera pepper-spraying a rideshare driver after he refused to let her and her friends out of the vehicle.

According to New York City police, the incident occurred in the Bronx just before 5 a.m. on July 8 after the 23-year-old driver informed the women that the car was overcrowded and they needed to find another ride.

Surveillance footage reveals, however, that the driver continued to accelerate through the area while the women pleaded with him to let them out and stop the car, before the situation turned violent.

The footage, which was released Tuesday by the New York Police Department, shows at least one woman seated on the back passenger side and requesting the driver to ‘open the door.’

Soon, the other three women began pleading with the driver to “stop the car” as he continues to drive recklessly through the area.

One of the women yells, “Stop the car, stop the f****** car,” but the driver proceeds to pass other vehicles as another woman implores, “Stop the car, you idiot.”

Another woman is seen holding the headrest of the passenger seat as the driver continues to proceed, prompting one of the passengers to state that she will report the incident to the unnamed ridesharing firm.

At one point, the woman behind the passenger informs the driver, ‘Yo, I’m about to spray,’ before allegedly spraying herself.

Eventually, one traveler encourages her other passengers, “Everyone get out, everyone get out.”

Surveillance footage from inside a ridesharing vehicle captured the moment a female passenger pepper-sprayed a 23-year-old male driver on July 8 at 5 a.m.

Four ladies in the backseat could be heard pleading with the driver to pull over and let them out, with one of them spotted grabbing the back of the passenger side headrest.

The footage begins with the woman who pepper sprayed him begging the driver to ‘unlock the door.’

The woman in the passenger seat squirts the driver once more.

When the vehicle finally stopped about 4:55 a.m. at the intersection of Melrose Avenue and East 158th Street in the Bronx, police claim one of the women assaulted him off-camera.

The suspects then allegedly stole the driver’s cellphone before fleeing.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Uber and Lyft for additional details regarding the event.

Police continue their hunt for the four ladies involved in the confrontation and ask that anybody with information contact Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS. Every call will be kept private.

The footage was released two weeks after a gang of adolescent females savagely battered another New York City cab driver for not being paid.

The incident occurred only weeks after surveillance film revealed that a gang of adolescent females assaulted 52-year-old Kutin Gyimah.

The driver, depicted in red, was utterly defenseless during the attack.

When Gyimah regained his footing, one of the men struck him in the head, knocking him to the ground.

On August 13, horrific film revealed 52-year-old Kutin Gyimah being beaten by five passengers who, according to investigators, refused to pay their price and attempted to rob him.

It depicts how each of the five suspects appeared to strike the man, who was able to protect himself, in turn.

At one point, Gyimah lifted his arms in defense against the horrific ambush in Far Rockaway, while the mob resumed its assault.

When Gyimah regained his footing, one of the men struck him in the head, knocking him to the ground.

He then fell backwards and struck his head on the ground as the five suspects were captured on camera strolling away from the crime scene while grinning.

During the heated altercation, the victim sustained significant head damage and eventually succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

Later that day, Gymiah, a father of two, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

Last Monday, two adolescent girls turned themselves in for the incident and were charged with gang assault and theft of services.

Austin Amos, 20, of Queens was identified by police as one of the suspects sought in connection with the death of Gyimah.

The two 13- and 15-year-old girls were not identified because they are minors, but investigators say a 16-year-old girl is still at large.

The girls allegedly assisted Austin Amos, 20, and Nickolas Porter, 20, in assaulting Gyimah after they jumped out of his cab without paying.

Amos and Porter were charged with gang violence and theft in connection with the murder. Amos was also charged with manslaughter.

The two males handed themselves up at the 101st Precinct last week after the NYPD issued an appeal for information.

Amos has been arrested six times in the past, including for robbery, criminal mischief, criminal contempt, and sexual misconduct.

In the meantime, the rate of crime in New York City has increased by more than 35 percent over the same period previous year.

The increase is driven by an almost 40 percent increase in the number of robberies, with more than 11,000 registered so far in 2022 compared to over 8,000 at the same period last year.

Over 17,200 assaults similar to those against the taxi drivers have been registered so far this year, a nearly 19 percent increase from the same time last year.

And rape cases have increased by roughly 9 percent.
