After 8 o’clock on Tuesday, a car crash killed at least five people

Just after 8 o’clock on Tuesday, a horrific vehicle accident claimed at least five lives.

According to reports, a Nissan Navara utility vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree on East Parade in Buxton, a hamlet of around 1000 people located close to Picton and 100 kilometres southwest of Sydney.

The male 18-year-old automobile driver is alive, and it is reported that his wounds are not life-threatening.

NSW Ambulance personnel attended to him at the spot and transported him to Liverpool Hospital for required tests.

Three female and two male passengers, all of whom were thought to be about the same age, perished at the site, according to the police.

Multiple emergency personnel responded to “a severe accident on East Parade with multiple casualties,” according to Fire and Rescue NSW.

There was also a medical crew that came by helicopter.

A crime scene was created by Camden Police Area Command officers, and it is now being investigated by Crash Investigation Unit investigators.

According to a police official, “an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is under progress (and) a report will be produced for… the Coroner.”

After the collision, a guy who lives close by claimed to have heard sirens.

According to Justin Davis, “We heard the emergency cars responding pretty soon and saw the lights flashing, it lit up the whole street.”

He said that a chopper touched down in a neighbouring field.

According to Mr. Davis, the region is often fairly peaceful.

Even young children who ride motorcycles along the street do so quietly, he noted.

As heartbroken people gathered at the site and saw the destruction, images from the scene showed the automobile smashed to bits close to the front of residences.

Police are speaking with residents.

The collision, which took place close to Buxton’s town centre, involved no other cars.

Anyone with dashcam video or information regarding this event is asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-333-TIPS.

All of its personnel have already returned to their stations, where they are being debriefed about the horrific collision, a representative for Fire and Rescue NSW told Daily Mail Australia.
