On Wednesday, December 14, just before noon, police responded to a complex in the Adelaide suburb of South Plympton after receiving complaints of blood in the stairway.

Following the blood trail, officers discovered a 63-year-old guy with a severe head injury.

Critically ill, he was transported to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
