Thomas Friedrich Myler, 35, is the third individual charged in connection with the death of 23-year-old Levi Johnson, which occurred on Monday in the parking lot of a Mansfield Goodlife gym.

Police received a tip before arresting Myler and his girlfriend on Skinner Avenue in Wellington Point on Friday night.

Prior to his arrest, the regional crime coordinator for Brisbane, Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham, indicated that police would say he hid “a number” of firearms at another location.

Thomas Friedrich Myler, 35, is the third individual charged in connection with the death of 23-year-old Levi Johnson, which occurred on Monday in the parking lot of a Goodlife gym in Mansfield.

After receiving a tip, police raided Myler’s Wellington Point home on Friday night and detained him and his girlfriend (pictured, blue tarp at Mansfield carpark on Monday)

He claimed, “We were able to receive assistance from PolAir, and a Mazda 323 fled this (Wellington Point) residence shortly thereafter.”

This vehicle has been taken to an address in Chandler where we believe the wanted person buried multiple firearms.

It is believed that Myler and one of the suspected attackers, Kyle Martin, had a falling out and broke up after the stabbing.

Martin is still on the run, and police think he is still in Queensland and potentially armed.

Superintendent Massingham added, “Based on some of the comments made by this man (Myler) tonight, it appears that this relationship is somewhat fragmented, and we will examine this in the following days.”

Myler has been charged with homicide, unauthorized possession of a motor vehicle, unlawful entry, unauthorized possession of explosives, and operating a vehicle without an interlock.

Myler and one of the suspected attackers, Kyle Martin (pictured), are reported to have broken up following the stabbing.

Police Friday’s release of CCTV footage allegedly shows 24-year-old Kyle Martin in the Carindale shopping complex before to the attack. As the manhunt continues, police are urging his surrender.

His case was briefly examined in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday before it was postponed until October 4.

His girlfriend has not been charged, and she remains under investigation.

Stuart Galloway and Luke Thomas Moore, both aged 34, have been accused of murder.

On Monday, Mr. Johnson’s vehicle was surrounded by two cars before four guys exited and began shattering his windows.

Mr. Johnson fled, but two men nearby captured him and repeatedly stabbed him.

Superintendent Massingham stated, “It was unquestionably a terrible act, it transpired very swiftly, and they were indeed ardent in their desire to complete it.”
