According to the National Parks Service, two missing climbers’ remains have been found in Glacier National Park.

After being reported missing on Sunday, the two men were located by search and rescue personnel.

The two unnamed men were identified by park authorities as being 67 years old and from Kalispell and Columbia Falls, respectively.

According to a National Parks Service press release, the men’s journey started on July 21.

On July 22, they intended to trek out after climbing Dusty Star Mountain.

When they failed to show up on July 24 as scheduled, it was reported that they were missing.

The following day, park officers found their car at the trailhead.

On Sunday morning, teams of air search and rescue personnel were sent out to scour “possibly difficult terrain” until the end of the day.

The bodies were discovered early on Monday.

The statement read, “Park officials would like to extend their sincere sympathies to the families and urge that the public respect the privacy of the families.”

There is currently a plan in place to retrieve the climbers’ corpses and property.
