A Worcester couple is charged with terrible crime

In connection with the incident, the spouse of a Worcester woman pastor who appeared in the neighbourhood magistrate’s court last week on allegations of possessing child pornography and engaging in human trafficking was also detained.

On Tuesday, July 26, the spouse was detained and presented before the Worcester Magistrate’s Court.

He cannot be named since he has not yet entered a plea, according to the State, although he is a co-accused alongside his wife.

“A formal bail application has been made, and the case against both accused has been continued to August 4, 2022.

According to National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila, “The wife’s legal counsel withdrew last week but she told the court she will be recruiting a new attorney who will be ready to proceed with her bail application.”

Police detained the first suspect on July 11. She supposedly serves as the senior pastor of a church in Worcester.

A hundred counts of possessing and creating child pornography, two counts of rape, five counts of human trafficking, and the husband’s possible involvement in the case were all listed by the police at the time of her arrest.

Following a police inquiry, it was discovered that the husband and wife are both past inmates who each served 15 years in prison for raping young children.

Ndakhe Gwala, a spokesman for the police, claimed that the pastor deceived three parents into letting their kids spend the night at their home.

According to prior reports, the woman allegedly gave the kids drugs, removed their clothing, and snapped pictures of their naked bodies.

According to one of the victims, the pastor allegedly confined her in a bedroom and told her to undress, telling her not to feel uncomfortable because “they both are females.”

The pastor then started taking pictures of her.
