A whopping 62 percent of respondents to the new CNN/SSRS survey said they disapprove of Biden’s job in office so far

A poll released on Monday found that only 38% of Americans approve of President Joe Biden, and that they have little faith in him to manage the country’s economy.

The new CNN/ssrs survey found that a staggering 62 percent of respondents disapprove of Biden’s performance thus far in office – the highest number thus far since CNN began asking the topic in March 2021.

Only 25% of those polled say they approve of the president’s handling of inflation.

The survey, which was conducted from June 13 to July 13, was published soon after the shocking release of the consumer price index report, which revealed that the cost of products rose by 9.1 percent in July over the same month the previous year. Since 1981, it was the biggest increase.

According to a CNN poll, 79 percent of Americans believe that things are going poorly for the country as a whole, which is a number not seen since February 2009, at the height of the great recession.

The Monday survey reveals that Biden is losing support from voters on a number of important issues, with dissatisfaction with his management of the Ukraine conflict, immigration, inflation, and the economy all rising above 50%.

Only 31% of respondents said they think the president “has had the appropriate objectives.”

That is less than the proportion of voters who said the same thing about Donald Trump in August and September of 2017 as well as November 2018.

68 percent of respondents claimed that Biden is oblivious to the biggest issues facing the country.

The horrifying feedback demonstrates that voters have not yet taken Biden’s promise to take a “laser focus” on inflation seriously. The poll also shows that Americans are dubious about his influence.

One in three individuals continue to support President Biden’s management of the economy, while 69 percent said otherwise.

As the midterm elections in November draw near, the Democratic’s standing with people becomes more and more important because his party faces a difficult battle to maintain their slim congressional majority.

However, the poll conducted on Monday indicates that those chances are dwindling.

Despite still being high, Biden’s approval among fellow Democrats dropped by 13 points between the CNN polls in April and may to reach its current level of 73 percent.

With his popularity there falling by nine percentage points, from 71 to 62, Biden’s handling of the economy is also driving the left further away from him.

People of colour’s acceptance of the president’s job approval dropped into the negatives for the first time, hitting 45 percent after being at 54 percent in the spring.

It comes after another recent poll by Morning Consult revealed that in all but six states, President Biden’s popularity rating was below 50%.

… other polls indicate that voters don’t hold out much hope for the president to change the course of events.

In a recent poll conducted by the New York Times and Siena College, more than 60% of Democratic voters stated they would like a different candidate to Biden for the 2024 presidential election.

Since he will be 80 years old before his first four-year term is complete, there are widespread concerns about Biden’s ability to serve another term and his age.
