After an altercation involving three guys, a man in his 30s was shot through a car window in Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the city’s South Morang suburb, which prompted a significant police response.

According to Leading Senior Constable Adam West of the Victoria Police, “a handgun was discharged into a car window.”

Two of the men hopped in a car and left.

The other man, who is said to be in his 30s, had minor wounds and was attended to on the spot by paramedic personnel.

Three men got into a fight, which is thought to be what led to the shooting.
