A mother has warned other parents of the danger of beach barbeques after her son burned his feet.

After her son burned his feet on a beach grill, a mother has warning other parents about the dangers of doing so.

Ezekiel Long, 4, was transported to the hospital after stepping on scorching hot sand at Grebe Beach, near Falmouth, Cornwall, last weekend.

‘As it’s that time of year, I just want to convey a message to people to clean up and make sure it’s safe before they leave,’ said Kerensa Long, his mother.

‘Take the barbecue home or wash it in the water first.

‘It’s irresponsible and it can have a big impact.’

She is asking beachgoers to ensure any fires are completely out, to dampen them down with sea water or clearly mark them with stones.

There was no indication of a fire on the piece of sand where the kid wounded his foot, according to Grimsby Live.

Ezekiel was sent to the hospital for treatment, and he will return to have the skin on the sole of his foot removed.

Ms Long believes the situation is much more pressing because there may be small children crawling on the beach unable to get themselves out of the burning sand.
