A man was stabbed in Sydney in broad daylight

After being stabbed in broad daylight on a peaceful suburban Sydney street, a man is in critical condition.

Around 3.30 p.m. on Sunday, emergency personnel descended upon the Merrylands neighborhood’s Pitt Street and Sheffield Street intersection.

Before being treated by paramedics and loaded into the back of an ambulance to be brought to the hospital, pictures show the 31-year-old guy sitting up on the pavement close to a pool of blood and being treated there.

Officers in uniform and plain clothing promptly blocked off the roadway and searched the area for evidence.

Soon later, authorities responded to a neighboring house on the basis of their enquiries and detained a 30-year-old male. He was brought to the Granville Police Department.

It is known that the assault was deliberate.

The wounded guy was sent to Westmead Hospital, where he is now in a critical state.

Police are urging anybody with information to get in touch.
