A head-on collision close to a hospital entrance in Bloemfontein leaves one dead, several injured

A head-on collision between a minibus and a car at a hospital entrance in Bloemfontein was reported to VRMED and other services.

When rescue personnel arrived, they discovered that a car had collided head-on with a minibus, trapping all four occupants inside.

Sadly, one of the passengers had already passed away from his injuries.

Mangaung fire and rescue had to use jaws of life to free the remaining trapped victims.

A person with critical injuries was taken by VRMED to the Pelonomi trauma unit.

The other victims, one of them was a child, had minor to moderate injuries and were also sent to Pelonomi Hospital.

Police are right now investigating what caused the collision.
