In his statement, the Duke added, ‘As we celebrate the life of my grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, and grieve her passing, we are all reminded of the compass she was to so many in her dedication to devotion and duty. She was admired and appreciated on a global scale. Her unyielding grace and dignity remained constant throughout her whole life and now constitute her enduring legacy. Let us echo the words she spoke following the death of her husband, Prince Philip, words that can comfort us all now: “Of course, life comprises of both first and last contacts.”
