61-year-old man Stabbed in Pioneer Square

Police are investigating after a 61-year-old man was stabbed in Pioneer Square on Saturday night.

Shortly after 10:20 p.m., officers rushed to the 50 block of South Main St. for a stabbing incident. The responding cops discovered a man victim with a back stab wound. Officers administered initial care to the victim.

According to the victim, he was standing in the alley when a male suspect approached him from behind and stabbed him in the back. The victim turned around to confront the offender, but the offender fled. No suspect description is provided at this time. Officers are searching for any accessible camera footage in the neighborhood.

With life-threatening injuries, Seattle Fire came to the site, treated the man, and transferred him to Harborview Medical Center.
