58-year-old Briton dies after falling off e-scooter in Benidorm

In Benidorm, a 58-year-old British lady was riding an electric scooter when she fell down a cliff and perished.

At about 4.15 pm yesterday, the accident occurred.

Although specifics have not yet been revealed, it is believed that a second individual who was also riding a motorised scooter was hurt while attempting to assist in the woman’s rescue.

It was said that more family members, including an eight-year-old child, were there.

The motorised scooter, which was reportedly hired, reportedly abandoned the road for an unknown cause and veered down the slope into a remote area.

The “barranco” has enormous stone boulders and is quite steep.

Firefighters arrived on the scene quickly in Benidorm’s Paraje de la Cruz neighbourhood, which is a part of the Serra Gelada Natural Park.

According to informacion.es, “The fire brigade was dispatched to the emergency with several vehicles, with the primary goal of rescuing the injured persons as quickly as possible.”

“Upon arrival, the firefighters worked in conjunction with the Benidorm Local Police and SAMU Health Technicians to perform resuscitation techniques on a woman without success.”

The rescue effort took over two hours.

The motorised scooter is being examined by police to determine whether it complied with all applicable safety regulations as part of their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident.
