Early on Sunday, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake shook the East Rand neighborhood.

The earthquake, according to the Council for Geoscience, originated in a location around Brakpan, Boksburg, Springs, and Tsakane. On Sunday morning at 00.56, it occurred.
