Morgan’s damaged face after Emmanuel’s February 2019 attack,

Morgan, a mother of one, met Richards in September 2018 when she was 18 years old, despite his being 20 years her senior.

She states, “He was referred to as “the Tank,” but at first he appeared harmless.

I met him at the park while walking my dog, and he asked for my number.

Two weeks later, he become hostile.

Richards ‘came at her’ with a brick after arguing with her and requesting her to hold narcotics for him.

Morgan claimed he ‘flipped’ and then used a brick to force her out of his vehicle.

She said, “I hurriedly shut the door, but he threatened to break it down, so I grudgingly let him in.”

Then he threatened to douse me with boiling water.

After that, Richards’ violence escalated further.

Morgan and Emmanuel in happier times prior to the beginning of the abuse

Morgan refused to have sex with him since she was on her period in November 2018, but he ignored her and raped her nonetheless.

Richards began to accuse Morgan of infidelity and refused to allow her to bathe or shower unless he was present, believing she was “washing off another man.”

Life, according to Morgan, was a nightmare. Emmanuel forbade me from wearing makeup or possessing a phone.

I was under his influence and felt trapped.

In February of 2019, Morgan finally had the strength to end their relationship.

However, when she returned from a night out with friends a few days later, she saw a placard on her door calling her a “slag” and stating that she had chlamydia.

– Morgan was covered in horrible bruises following one of Emmanuel’s attacks.

Morgan was afraid to inform him after he threatened her family and he “wormed his way back in” days later.

In March, Richards returned home drunk one evening and tossed Morgan down the stairs.

She states, “He brought me into the bedroom and raped me after picking me up and carrying me there.”

“I could do nothing except scream; I was frightened he would murder me.”

After Morgan attempted to leave him, he threatened to torch her home.

Several weeks later, Richards again attacked Morgan. He pursued her around the apartment with a machete, strangled her to unconsciousness before punching her in the face.

Morgan states, “When I came around, he apologized but then raped me.”

‘I had no escape.’

Emmanuel Richards, 42, also known as “The Tank,” was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his abuse.

She awoke to find her 47-year-old mother Marie standing over her; she rushed Morgan to the emergency room of Tameside General Hospital and begged her not to return to him.

Two weeks later, when Morgan’s mother called to check on her, Richards answered the phone and when Marie requested to speak with her daughter, he hit her in the face.

Morgan stated, “I felt something break and the pain was tremendous; blood poured down my face.”

The A&E personnel at Wythenshawe Hospital asked Morgan if she wanted to talk on her own, but she was too terrified and refused.

The following week, she underwent surgery to repair her jaw and discovered she was three weeks pregnant.

Emmanuel was detained at the hospital, where she was having three pins and metal plates placed into her jaw, when her mother phoned the police.

Unfortunately, she miscarried a few weeks later.

“I suffer from panic attacks and was diagnosed with PTSD.”

“I’m very happy my mother contacted the cops. I could not have escaped him without her.

Please leave if you are in a violent relationship.
