19-year-old lady beat in South Norwood, Croydon, London

After being assaulted by a group of young people yelling “grab her phone,” a 19-year-old lady said she is “too terrified to leave the home at night.”

Chloe Miller, her mother, and sister were accompanying her to the neighbourhood corner store when she was assaulted in South Norwood, London, leaving her with severe bruises all over her body and a concussion.

In fresh video, criminals viciously beat the young lady in the street after brazenly ransacking a neighbouring newsstand.

The police sirens could be heard, and there were already a lot of people there, according to Miss Miller.

I had been relaxing at home, but because we live close to the store, my mother and sister went to see how the owner was doing. I then walked straight to the store to get a bottle of cherry coke and some sour watermelons.

“On the way back, however, someone struck me with a crutch. I turned around and said, “Why are you attacking random people with a crutch it’s not right,” and then I started to experience random attacks. My phone and everything else were taken.

According to the young lady, “approximately 20 individuals” jumped on top of her, knocked her down, and then “kicked and stomped on her.”

I remember hearing someone yell, “Grab her phone, get her vape,” and my vape was between my top and my bra, so a man reached below my top to take it.

“I ended up in the hospital with severely broken ribs, a concussion, several bruises across my body, and a black eye.”

I was terrified. At the conclusion of the day, as I was being kicked, punched, and stomped on, my phone—which had many special memories for me—was confiscated.

Miss Miller was shown being pummelling and kicked to the ground by the group in a video uploaded on social media.

As she was being assailed from all sides, she can be seen attempting to conceal her head.

As soon as they came, police officers evacuated the area of individuals, sending them down the street.

According to Miss Miller, she is starting to feel insecure in London. People just need to stop acting in this way, she added. London is becoming a very dangerous place.

Everyone dispersed when the police arrived, they summoned an ambulance for me, and Miss Miller said, “They’ve indicated they’re undertaking a comprehensive investigation.”

But since many of them were wearing masks and balaclavas, it was difficult to identify them.

A fresh video posted on social media yesterday night shows a gang of young people robbing a newsstand close to the scene of Miss Miller’s assault.

The children can be seen tipping over carts holding candy and lottery tickets before loading their hands with alcoholic beverages and frozen foods.

One young lady, sporting a blue long-sleeved shirt, is seen rushing to the rear of the shop to see the group enter the establishment.

She can be seen making an attempt to speak with the other kids before backing away and covering her face when additional guys, some of whom are wearing baklavas, come in.

Then, more young people can be seen entering the newsstand and beginning to throw stuff from the freezer.

Later, a store owner said that the attackers had broken shop windows and doors to gain inside.

A Yogi Newsagents employee on Tennison Road, a short distance from the altercation, described what they had observed just before the assault.

‘Around 10 or 15 of them came inside and were stealing sweets, stealing drinks, and attempting to go into the rear,’ the store employee, who wished to remain anonymous, told MyLondon. Outside, there were thousands.

“We attempted to drive them out and close the shutters, but they began smashing everything and breaking the windows and doors. Now that they are damaged, there has been a lot of damage, and we have no idea when it will be repaired.”

They fled after waiting for the cops for perhaps 15 or 20 minutes.

Miss Miller continued, calling London a “very, very awful place” to live.

People just need to stop acting in this way, she added. It’s becoming worse and worse in London.

I had to contact my doctor to have my medicine modified once again, therefore I’m unable to go at this time. It’s had a big impact on me.

Even on my own neighbourhood, “I would absolutely not be able to walk out at that time of night again again.”

In a statement sent to Mail Online, the police said: “Officers responded and it was stated that a 19-year-old lady had been attacked by another woman.”

“She was rushed to the hospital, where it was determined that her injuries were not life threatening.”

A comment from the Metropolitan Police has been requested.

No one has been taken into custody as of Friday afternoon in relation to the event.
