18-year-old woman’s body recovered in forest near Brisbane

The body of an 18-year-old Queensland lady was discovered in wilderness, and a 19-year-old man has been charged with her murder.

The duo, who are acquainted, met on Saturday afternoon in a parking lot in Strathpine, north of Brisbane, according to police.

The woman from Petrie failed to return home, prompting her relatives to express concern.

Saturday evening, police located the man from Kallangur at a fuel station in Nambour, roughly an hour’s drive north of Strathpine.

The woman’s body was discovered overnight in Nambour’s wilderness, and the suspect has now been charged with murder and corpse transportation.

On Monday, he is scheduled to appear before the Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
