17 People dead in two separate accidents in KZN

Jomo Sibiya, the acting KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Transport, Community Safety, and Liaison, will go to the scene of the horrific crash that occurred last night on the R617 close to Mpophomeni
According to reports, the scene saw the deaths of 11 persons, including a police officer.

Ten passengers in a minibus taxi and a police officer who was controlling traffic were among the victims.

The province lost at least 17 persons in two separate accidents just last night. Six individuals perished in the other collision, which happened on the N11 near Dundee.

MEC Sibiya will go to the region to assess the incident and acquire a complete report from the police.
