A fellow motorist who saw the bizarre scene and thought the gator had been hunted managed to capture it on tape.

‘Spotted yesterday on I-95. This is obviously in Florida,” the internet description said.

According to the user who uploaded the image, the gator’s tail seemed to be dripping with blood.

It was unquestionably genuine. There is some blood at the tail’s base. Karen Kress said WESH, “I have to presume it was lawfully hunted.”

With rope stretched around the reptile’s head, torso, and tail, the enormous alligator was fastened from head to tail. The reptile was strapped to the back of the Chevy SUV.

One guy remarked how the alligator was harvested during Florida’s alligator hunting season.

A poster said, “You can see the yellow gator “tag” affixed to his tail.”

A permission is necessary to hunt alligators, and the season lasts through November in the state.

The most current numbers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission show that more than 7,900 alligators were killed during the hunting season last year.

A total of 7,000 licences are available each year, and only about 5,000 people apply for them. The gators that are taken vary in size from around three feet to about 14 feet.

Alligators of all sizes are thought to number 1.3 million, according to wildlife specialists, in Florida.
