ZHO carries out ‘People of Determination Diving in Deep Dive Dubai’ initiative

ABU DHABI, 27th June, 2022 (WAM) — Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) has carried out the “People of Determination Diving in Deep Dive Dubai” initiative, in coordination and cooperation with Abu Dhabi Police General Command and the ZHO volunteer team.

Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, ZHO’s Secretary-General, was present on the occasion which saw the participation of seven people of determination, including a woman.

The initiative included sports activities and diving practices, and the installation of a wheelchair as a symbol of the divers with determination, in addition to raising the flag of the UAE and taking an oath of allegiance to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, under water in sign language.

Al Humaidan said that the initiative provided people of determination an opportunity to dive in world’s deepest swimming pool, emphasising their great capabilities and potential. “It is also a way of enhancing their self-confidence, and showcasing the high and positive spirit they have,” he added.
