You can see but you can’t buy. It’s a shame, isn’t it? ASOS to Russians buyers

Russian users have received a “message” from the British online apparel and cosmetics retailer ASOS after updating its app on the App Store.

In the “In the Russian region of the “What’s new” section, where programmers describe changes in new versions, you may read the sentence “Hi! From today we will only show you products that are available in your country. It’s a shame to see what you can’t buy, isn’t it?” .

The appeal sparked a storm of outrage. Many people believed that the business was engaging in passive aggression by sending the message. Along with critical remarks, users started purposefully underestimating the application’s rating on Google Play and the App Store.
