Thembinkosi Lorch, who has been out for months with an injury, is allegedly approaching a return to action for the Orlando Pirates.
According to the most recent reports from Mayfair, Lorch has resumed training and is nearly ready to return to action.
Saturday’s meeting between Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants will be the thirteenth consecutive match that Lorch has missed.
The Siya crew has learned from a Soccer Laduma article that “Thembinkosi Lorch is nearing a return for Orlando Pirates after a lengthy layoff due to injury.
The 29-year-old creative midfielder has been back in training for the past few days, and all signs are that he is in a race against the clock to regain health before the conclusion of the season.
“As the Buccaneers appear to be regaining form after consecutive victories against Golden Arrows and Stellenbosch FC after a dismal start to the year, the player’s return will be a boost to the team’s ability to score goals and keep it in contention for the top half of the table.
“The Soweto giants confirmed at the end of last year that the Bafana Bafana international would return at the end of this month, and while there has been no other official update from the club, social media has been awash with pictures and videos of the star training hard.”
After this week’s match against Marumo Gallants, Orlando Pirates will face table-topping Mamelodi Sundowns on 4 February in a big matchup.
On 4 February 2023, there is a decent possibility that Lorch will be forced to play against the reigning champions.
