What AL JAMA-AH wants from Ramaphosa for SONA 2023

AL JAMA-AH expects His Excellency Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address to give high importance to the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan’s localization of 1,000 items earmarked for manufacturing in townships, communities, and on the Cape Flats (SONA).

AL JAMA-AH WANTS YOUTH TO BE A PRIORITY The party’s spokesperson, AL JAMA-AH Constituency, according to Nisa Siers, is eager to learn which goods have been identified for localization.

“The peanut butter project in Groutville, in the Eastern Cape, is one of the localized projects. Localization is one of the core aspects of the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan, and SMMEs and co-ops are intended to play a central role in pushing localization.”

The President should prohibit the importation of peanut butter and promote ‘Buy’Local – Local is Lekker’ and the “Proudly South African” label so that locally produced peanut butter can be marketed on local, provincial, national, and worldwide markets.
For displaced and formerly oppressed populations, land ownership is still a difficult topic. The President should guarantee that all South Africans over the age of 25 would be allotted a plot of land with a title deed and that land ownership will be universal and free.
“AL JAMA-AH anticipates the announcement that every matriculant who is not pursuing further education should have access to employment possibilities and be educated to fill vacancies in South Africa. Youth unemployment is a crisis; of the 40 million Americans of working age, 51.6% are youths. According to the data, 46% of them are unemployed and lack education or training,” she explained.

She continued, “Our youth should be prepared to play a larger role in the country by obtaining moral and ethical training.” As a government, we should do our utmost, in conjunction with the business sector, to alleviate the plight of our youth; in fact, we should seek to secure jobs for our youth, who is in a position to turn around the country’s faltering economic status.

At 7 p.m., Ramaphosa is set to address the nation.
