Tom Brady accommodated his daughter’s request.
On Wednesday, the 45-year-old quarterback uploaded an Instagram story featuring two Siamese mix kittens and the words “Vivi wins again” and “This is how my mornings are now. They are in kind, capable hands.” Brady also tagged the Tampa Humane Society, former Bucs teammate Logan Ryan, and Ryan’s wife Ashley Bragg Ryan.
Bragg Ryan wrote, following Brady’s 23-year retirement from the NFL, about how the quarterback and his children quietly helped at an animal sanctuary.
“I suppose I’ll share my Tom Brady story, but it’s not about 7 Super Bowls, being down 28-3, or his final pass for the Patriots. They are common knowledge,” she remarked on Instagram. “It’s the story about the father who worked with his children at an animal sanctuary for a full football season. The one in which he and his children bonded over naming pups and bottle-feeding kittens. The one where he attended every other week in silence to make a difference for his family and neighborhood. The one where two fathers got to be fathers and beamed with joy whenever their children asked, “Please, can we stay a little longer?” Two young girls made the world a better place for animals by developing a relationship based on their shared affection for little kittens.
“These photographs were taken in August, after which we did not take any more. Not publicly, at any rate. It had nothing to do with publicity, money, or recognition. It was about human existence. Tom turned his daughter’s greatest passion into an opportunity to spend quality time together. Tom reached out to his friend, inquired about how he might become engaged, and assisted his community by donating something far more valuable than money: his time. Without a question, the greatest quarterback ever. TB, I am more humbled by your character off the field. Congrats!”
People was told by a representative of the Tampa Humane Society that Vivian was particularly drawn to these two kittens and that Brady was contacted to adopt them.
“Everyone at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay is extremely grateful that Tom Brady and his children have been volunteering at our shelter for the past few months,” Regan Blessinger, a representative with the organization, told the site. “From socializing our kittens to strolling our dogs, it is evident that he is a wonderful father and a sincere animal lover. When they volunteered, it was clear that Vivian and the Brady family enjoyed their time with the kittens who still need bottle-feeding.
During the season, Brady was divorced from model Gisele Bündchen. The former couple had a daughter named Vivian and a boy aged 13 named Benjamin. Jack, who is 15 years old, is Brady’s kid from a prior relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
