Vandalism of NYPD vehicles in Lower Manhattan

Graffiti was discovered on two NYPD patrol cars in Lower Manhattan over the weekend, police reported on Monday.

Over the weekend, two NYPD patrol cars were discovered with graffiti in downtown Manhattan.

Sunday at 6:39 p.m., the backs of police vehicles parked on Varick Street between Erickson Place and N. Moore Street with the words “Jesus is King” scrawled in black ink were discovered.

The police are searching for a vandal using a black marker who is female.

Authorities said surveillance footage shows a female vandal wearing a yellow baseball cap departing the area.
