Upstate New York bully is suspended for racism

Bullying victim in upstate New York claims his expulsion from school was motivated by racism after he punched a child half his size to the ground.

Last week, footage of the revolting assault, which took place at the Cosgrove Middle School in Spencerport, close to Rochester, on Monday afternoon, was extensively shared online.

After the incident, the 15-year-old attacker was detained by the school for the remainder of the school year and was charged with third-degree assault.

The alleged bully has recently come forward, claiming that his suspension was racially motivated, but other students have warned that he has a history of viciously attacking lesser children.

After video of New Jersey girl Adriana Kuch being beaten at school inspired the 14-year-sad old’s death earlier this month, videos of other comparable assaults have been shared on social media in recent weeks across the east coast. One of these attacks was a video showing the extreme bullying. A teenager from a Virginia school was strangled on a bus by an older female in another sickening video.

Speaking to The Post Millennial after the latest assault in upstate New York, the bully said that race had no bearing on his choice to pick on a tiny white youngster.

He believes that the Spencerport Central School District punished him because he is black rather than because he violently threw the other kid to the ground.

He said, “Last year, my brother got into a fight and many white guys jumped [him] and not one of them was suspended or in trouble.”

His complaints about unjust punishment, however, were contested by other pupils who said that the bully often targets the school’s smaller children.

Unknown kid also said that the horrifying video was not even the worst instance of him bullying younger students.

They said that “they have all been against youngsters far smaller.”

“[He] once punched a youngster who was considerably smaller.” Everyone except a teacher saw it. He also assaulted a child and pursued him into the lunchroom.

According to them, the sixth-grader was the target of the ninth-grade bully who had mistaken him for another kid. A video of the incident shows the victim repeatedly telling the bully, “That was the other man,” before he is struck.

The short video, which was shared on social media and has now received millions of views, shows the ninth-grader looming over his victim during what looks to be departure from the school.

The taller student rapidly grabs his victim from behind and yells incoherently in his face as huge groups of students move towards a line of buses leaving the entrance.

Students gather to see the young sixth-grader plead his innocence repeatedly while raising his hands in the air, but his assailant hangs on.

Children in large groups may be heard yelling with delight as the situation becomes worse; they are unaware of the impending bloodshed.

The ninth-grader suddenly lunges down and grabs his victim by the knee during the quarrel between the two pupils.

The much bigger lad pulls him into the air while holding him from behind before smashing him forcefully against the concrete ground.

The victim is shown falling awkwardly onto his side, but when he rises to his feet and runs past a group of kids, he looks to be largely unharmed.

An immediate school board meeting was convened after the disturbing video went viral online, and board vice president Michael Miceli said that authorities were looking into the event.

When asked by DailyMail.com on the issue, the school chose not to comment.

In light of the mounting pressure on the school administration to stop bullying in the area, parents who attended the meeting described the video as “horrifying” and said it made their “stomach churn.”

At the conference, officials stressed that they would take action since they believed the older student had “sought out” his victim prior to the incident.

Miceli said, “We take this act of violence extremely seriously. “We will support any severe disciplinary actions that are taken when the inquiry is over.”

And last, he said, “With this horrific video becoming viral, our first priority is to assist the wellbeing of our Cosgrove student.”

A teacher at the meeting criticized the school for failing to address systematic bullying among the pupils, despite school administrators’ assurances that they are doing something about it.

These pupils fight, get suspended, come back to class, and fight once again. We are accepting it and enabling it to not only persist but also to become worse by enforcing little to no repercussions, said Christina Buckner.

“We know we have more security than we had last year, which we are very appreciative of, but I don’t believe that it’s enough,” the speaker said.

At the discussion, another parent supported the idea of stiffer penalties, saying she was worried about whether bullies were receiving enough punishment.

I’m not sure whether there are repercussions being issued, said mom Lisa Watson. To use a safe expression, “it simply looks like the same kids are behaving badly.”

Similar to neighbouring New Jersey, where the sad death of 14-year-old Alaina Kuch sparked local demonstrations over a lack of action against the issue, there are widespread condemnations of bullying in upstate New York.

Hundreds of students and locals gathered outside the campus to demand action after backlash over the school’s response to the suicide. They were spotted brandishing posters to condemn what they characterized as failure from “an administration that vowed to safeguard” pupils.

A Virginia woman has posted video online depicting the moment her 12-year-old son was strangled by an older girl on a school bus, in yet another horrible bullying episode to strike the east coast.

Taylor Brock, the boy’s mother, said that the bully brutally hit her son while also holding him by the mouth, despite the girl’s 60-pound weight advantage over her son.

Brock has joined a large number of people in denouncing the current wave of bullying.

She said that even though the girl had been told to use a different corridor after being punished due to the incident, her kid still sees her and even has to have lunch with her.

Brock said on her blog that “this isn’t something that’s going away for him.”

She is expelled and returned to school. That doesn’t seem to be a fair exchange. Yet not safeguarded is my son. There is no chance for those youngsters if they come out and don’t have video because I have and still nothing.
