A Ukrainian mother and her young daughter spoke to Banksy, apparently unaware they were conversing with the world-renowned artist, as he painted a mural in their war-torn country.

Yula Patoku watched as the elusive street artist painted a picture of a child dressed in martial arts clothing, defeating a man with a black belt.

Patoku and her daughter spoke to Banksy and commented on the artwork, with the daughter suggesting that it represented Ukraine saving the world from something evil, like Russia.

Banksy is believed to have painted seven murals in Ukraine, including the one in Borodianka in the Kyiv region, which depicts the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the country’s struggle against the invaders.

Patoku’s sister, Oksana Koronik, praised the artwork, calling it youthful and potent, with Ukraine fighting and emerging victorious against the monster of Russia.

Local officials have erected a plastic barrier around the mural to protect it, as its symbolic imagery has become a message of hope for residents.

Motion sensors have been installed to alert a response team if anyone gets too close to the mural.

Koronik expressed her belief that the artwork will be a permanent reminder of Ukraine’s resistance against Putin.
