UAE, Mongolia discuss parliamentary ties

ABU DHABI, 30th June, 2022 (WAM) — The Asian Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Federal National Council (FNC), chaired by Obaid Khalfan Al Salami, Head of the Committee, held a virtual meeting with the “Emirati-Mongolian Friendship Committee” of the Mongolian parliament, the State Great Khural.

The meeting discussed strengthening parliamentary ties between the FNC and the State Great Khural and boosting coordination on issues of mutual concern.

Al Salami said that the two countries have deep-rooted relations in political, economic, cultural and scientific areas, stressing the importance of consolidating their strategic cooperation, exploring opportunities for reinforcing partnerships across all sectors, advancing their economic relations, increasing their trade exchange and mutual investments, boosting the contribution of the private sector in the process of economic development, and establishing coordination mechanisms in commercial areas.

Sandag Byambatsogt, Member of the State Great Khural and Chairman of the Emirati-Mongolian Friendship Committee, highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the two countries, stressing their mutual keenness to enhance their cooperation.
