ABU DHABI, 7th July, 2022 (WAM) — Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, received today, the British Minister for the Armed Forces, James Heappey, who is currently visiting the UAE.
Mattar Salem Ali Al Dhaheri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, and a number of senior officers at the Ministry of Defence attended the meeting.
At the start of the meeting, Al Bowardi welcomed Heappey and his accompanying delegation. He also lauded the growing cooperation and existing friendship between the two friendly countries and their keenness on promoting cooperation horizons in all domains, especially in the military and defence affairs.
They also reviewed cooperation between the UAE and the UK in the military and defence fields and ways to develop them which would contribute to achieving more coordination and cooperation between the two countries.
The UAE Minister of State for Defence Affairs and the British Minister for the Armed Forces exchanged views regarding a number of issues of mutual interest and ways to boost security and stability in the region, as well as the latest regional and global developments.
