»Trump to host “intimate” 2024 campaign event in South Carolina this month, aides claim«
Donald Trump will conduct a “intimate” election event later this month in South Carolina, according to senior campaign officials, who counter allegations that the former president’s 2024 White House campaign has gotten off to a sluggish start since its November debut.
The three workers, Brian Jack, Chris LaCivita, and Susie Wiles, told Politico in an interview on Wednesday that Trump will have a “intimate” campaign event in Columbia, South Carolina, at the end of January.
They say it’s part of a ploy to ramp up the campaign in a state with an early Republican primary after Trump said he would launch a presidential run from his Mar-a-Lago estate.
According to the three, Trump, 76, has opened his campaign headquarters in West Palm Beach, has made multiple appearances for Republican candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, and is in the process of recruiting his senior team.
“Not everything that occurs throughout the campaign is visible to the public… LaCivita told Politico that there is a level of expectation driven by those who do not view the campaign in the most positive way.

“You must manage your resources, you must plan, and you must be prepared,” he said. “We do not advertise these aspects of campaign building and campaign organization.”
“People want to know why I’m not holding rallies.” Well, I believe it would be foolish to spend large sums of money so far in the future,” replied LaCivita.

The only declared candidate for 2024 is the former president, whose loud rallies during the 2016 and 2020 elections filled coliseums with applauding followers.
His advisors believe it is too early for massive rallies.
“People want to know why I’m not holding rallies.” Well, I believe it would be foolish to spend large sums of money so far in the future,” replied LaCivita.
In South Carolina, Trump may face two Republican opponents from the Palmetto State.
Former Governor Nikki Haley, the Trump administration’s ambassador to the United Nations, and Senator Tim Scott are prospective rivals.
However, Wiles believes that Trump is in a favorable position in South Carolina, stating that “there is no data that suggests otherwise.”
President Biden, age 80, is also anticipated to seek reelection in 2024, but he has not yet made an official announcement.
